Legal Aid

Previously, Hancock County Legal Aid met on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month on the first floor of the courthouse in Greenfield. This service was ended as of April 23, 2014. Individuals seeking legal assistance in Hancock county now have access to a broad range of legal services through District 6 Access to Justice, Inc.

This program allows individuals to seek legal advice by speaking with local attorneys by way of phone call, by accessing online services, and through an application process. Legal Aid will now be available each weekday to those needing assistance rather than having to wait for the twice monthly days as in the past. The links to these services are:
