The Hancock County Clerk of Courts does NOT have a Public Notary nor does it issue Passports. See below for more information.
Notary
A Notary Public is a public officer of the state, authorized by law to certify documents, take affidavits, and administer oaths. A Notary Public is appointed for an eight year term. The jurisdiction of a Notary Public is statewide, but no Notary Public can be compelled to act outside of the Notary's home county.
